UBSC is the biggest university snowsports club in the country, run entirely by students, for students.
Our race and freestyle teams are some of the most successful in the country. We have the highest level of support to develop all abilities, from complete beginners to recreational skiers and even through to international pros.
We run the LARGEST SINGLE-UNI SKI TRIP IN THE WORLD - 2000 Bristol Uni students descended upon Avoriaz in 2022. We bring world-class DJs and live acts, huge après and activities for every level of boarder/skier - it's unrivalled.
As the biggest club at Bristol, we have the best deals and maddest socials going! But don't be put off. We're an incredibly friendly bunch and love having new members join.

UBSC INITIATIVES
Green Living
Here at UBSC we are committed to ensuring future generations are able to experience, and enjoy the environment that allows us to participate in the sport we love. Environmental sustainability is at the heart of what we do, our aim is to reduce our carbon footprint wherever we can - from our work with environmental charities to ski-wear recycling programs and compostable cups on our main trip. Here at UBSC, we recognise that our club is more than just a sports club, and we understand our duty to educate others and support the world around us. Our partnership with Protect Our Winters grows year on year and we're also working closely with Chilly’s to play our part in reducing the usage of plastic bottles.
Equality
We strive for equality in all areas including equality of opportunity: all of our trainings and competitions are heavily subsidised to ensure everyone can join in here at UBSC. Discrimination has no place at UBSC. We have also partnered with Snowcamp who engage inner-city young people through snowsports to provide life skills training, nationally recognised qualifications and work experience.
Health
Health, physical and mental, is very important to us. As a part of two communities that have been hit hard by mental health issues, Bristol uni and snowsports, we would like to do our part. During the lockdown period, we setup our #RunForTheMountains fundraiser, successfully raising £2170.30* for OTR, a Bristol Based Mental Health charity for young people aged 11-25.

Next year we will be continuing our efforts with POW and SnowCamp but also fundraising for CaringBristol who support young homeless people in Bristol.
